Tara Myers, PhD, ICE-CCP, SHRM-SCP, ICF-ACC, is the Director of Measurement Services at the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She leads a team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of nursing certifications and related products. Prior to ANCC, Dr. Myers worked as a consultant creating high-stakes assessment programs in private and public industries. She has published and presented on job analysis, test development, talent management, culture, and psychometrics. She was co-author of the Job Analysis chapter in the third edition of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.) Certification Handbook, served as member/chair of several SIOP committees, served as co-editor for TIP’s The Bridge: Connecting Science and Practice column, is co-chair of I.C.E.’s Publications and Editorial Committee, is chair of the Certification Network Group (CNG) Board of Directors, and serves as a psychometric reviewer for two certification program accreditors.
