John Weiner, MA, SIOP Fellow, is an independent adviser to assessment-focused organizations, informing strategies and initiatives for products and services, research and innovation, growth, organization and governance. He previously served as Chief Science Officer at PSI where he worked for nearly three decades. His focus has been on the intersection of measurement science and technology, and more recently upon responsible and ethical use of technology-enabled assessment, including AI. He has led the development of innovative, sound, and lawful solutions for private and public sector organizations, certifying bodies, regulators, and non-profits. He has served as an expert witness and arbitrator in testing cases. John is active in various professional associations including ICE, ATP, and SIOP, and remains active on several association committees. He has given over 170 conference presentations and has coauthored books, book chapters, journal articles and technical papers on topics related to licensing, certification, and talent assessment. He served as co-chair and editor of the recent ITC/ATP Guidelines for Technology-Based Assessment.
